Candidate experience is past, present, and potential future candidates’ overall perception of your company’s recruiting process. It is determined by their attitude of the experience during the whole process, from sourcing to finally onboarding.
Your employees are an important investment to your company. They can make huge differences to help your company, or, if not the best fit, can slow you down.
Beyond recruitment marketing, one should follow up with candidates to give them the best impression of the company so they want to work with you.
61% of employers say they notify declined candidates about their decision. Simply notifying them should be common courtesy. If you also offer them constructive feedback, the applicant would be 4x more likely to consider applying with your company again in the future.
The core of candidate experience is transparency and having communication lines always open. Letting candidates know the status of their application throughout the recruiting process leads to a better candidate experience.
