Candidate Experience

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Did you have a recruiting process at your company the last time you interviewed? 80-90% of talent say a positive or negative interview experience can change their mind about a role or company.

Hello everyone! I’m Sandeep Purwar, the Founder and CEO of Bevov, and today I’m going to be talking about the importance of checking on candidate experience.

Candidate experience is past, present, and potential future candidates’ overall perception of your company’s recruiting process. It is determined by their attitude of the experience during the whole process, from sourcing to finally onboarding.

Your employees are an important investment to your company. They can make huge differences to help your company, or, if not the best fit, can slow you down.

Beyond recruitment marketing, one should follow up with candidates to give them the best impression of the company so they want to work with you.

61% of employers say they notify declined candidates about their decision. Simply notifying them should be common courtesy. If you also offer them constructive feedback, the applicant would be 4x more likely to consider applying with your company again in the future.

The core of candidate experience is transparency and having communication lines always open. Letting candidates know the status of their application throughout the recruiting process leads to a better candidate experience.

If you do not have a recruitment process flow chart at your organization, then it should be your first task for this week to have better conversion from candidate applying to accepting your job.

Please let me know if you have questions on how to build a recruitment process flow chart. I can provide you some examples by commenting here, or emailing me at sandeep@bevov.com
